I knew Fatty inside out and was well aware of his swimming skills. But seeing him fall into the water made me worry for him. The strange floating corpses looked like dumplings boiling in a pot, rolling around endlessly. As soon as Fatty hit the water, he was immediately surrounded by countless female corpses, and in the blink of an eye, he vanished from sight. I wanted to jump in to save him, but the monstrous worm, screaming and thrashing, blocked my way. I was desperate and could only shout his name at the surface.
The worm, with its eyes gouged out, thrashed its massive body, shattering rocks around it. More red mist poured out from the gaps in its shell, but the color seemed to have faded from the bright red it was at first.
I thought the change in the mist's color was just due to the shifting light in the cave. I was focused on getting past the giant worm to rescue Fatty. However, the worm was too big, and after several attempts to get around it, I had to retreat, nearly getting crushed by its heavy armor.
